Flamingo Gardens Miss Frais x Knucci June 7, 2020 – Tags: , , , , , ,

That day, Knucci calls me super excited and tells me there is a really cool art opportunity and that he will send me the email shortly, I start asking him a bunch of questions and he tells me that the lady organizing the event is giving him 4 plastic flamingos to paint and decorate so we can exhibit them in a really cool spot called the Flamingo Gardens. Off course I start jumping up and down giggling and repeating over and over my favorite excitement expression DIN DIRIN DIN! DIN DIRIN DIN! followed by googling the place and finding out that Flamingo Gardens is a 60-acre, not-for-profit wildlife sanctuary, aviary, zoo, and botanical garden located just west of Fort Lauderdale, such a cool place that I have never been before.

The creative process was the funnest part of it all, as always Knucci encouraged me to just do whatever I wanted and when I proposed him my idea he loved it right away! He is the first person in this world that I would choose as a creative artistic partner in crime, he just gets me instantly and it’s so easy to be around him, honestly I feel like I am hanging out with myself when we are together.

One set of Flamingoes was black and white and it represented him and myself, the creation of art, love and joy that we bring to this world, they where bound together by a Hamsa necklace, used as a sign of protection, it is also used in the Ketubah, or marriage contracts, as well as items that dress the Torah such as pointers, and the Passover Haggadah.

The other set was blue and white, the colors represented the ocean and the waves, it had a bunch of plastic water labels that clearly showed how plastic was a dangerous, causing contamination and great danger for nature.

He turned in the artworks and I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the finished blue ones but you can see one of them mid way trough, I wish I had the photos. Also I wish I got to see the event but unfortunately I had traveling plans that made it impossible, I do know that people loved them and it made them smile and transmitted the loving, magical energy that we infused in them.

Every day that passes by I miss you, I write you as often as I can, I am counting the days to see you again and celebrate the Best Day Ever!! Thank you so much for coming into my life and making all my dreams come true.

I LOVE YOU forever and ever and ever in every lifetime and every universe and every period of time. I admire you so much, you really are my favorite artist, my eyes are getting filled with tears because I wish so badly that you can be here with me, I keep telling myself that 2.5 years is not such a long time, that everything happens for a reason and that you can feel my energy when I think of you.

This last photo means the world to me, that day you gave me roses from #TheRoseManJ and then we walked around design district, had lunch at Saint Roch Market and chilled in the hammocks at the plaza in the Design District where I took this photo, reminds me of Michelangelo’s ”Creation of Adam” fresco painting.
